I am about the last person on earth who would ever consider themselves a “cool girl,” but there’s something about tossing on a band t-shirt that makes me feel like I’m halfway there. Also, I just think that blondes look good in black

One of my favorite jobs I had during college was working at Victoria’s Secret. For some people that might sound like your nightmare, or borderline creepy, but for me it was really awesome to work with a bunch of women whose daily role was to help other women feel comfortable and sexy in their own skin.
“…but in the middle of all the chaos and mess, there are little bits and pieces of magic to be savored…”
Happy Tuesday Y’all. I hope you had a good weekend and your Monday didn’t drag on to long. For me, my weekend was filled with a wedding, bridal shower and house hunting details which were all SO GOOD. These things also make me feel like I’m so much more of an adult than I really am… (Let’s be real, I still had ice cream for dinner yesterday so I’m not quite there yet.)
With the weather in Colorado being unusually hot this summer, and my lack of air conditioning in both my apartment AND car (seriously I’m melting), I’ve been all about the breezy dresses; HELLOOOO CIFFON
I’ve been totally MIA the last week, but this past weekend one of my favorite people in the world got married. Anna and I have been friends since 6th grade and being able to be a part of her wedding and celebrating her and Eric’s love for each other was truly magical. I’ve never been so inspired by what love and a whole-hearted relationship can look like.
On a completely separate note I finally have enough time to blog about this romper that I’ve been wearing on repeat this summer. I love how it can be dressed up or down depending on the shoes and seems like the perfect happy hour pick.
“You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, the conversations you engage in. You are what you take from these. You are the sounds of the ocean, the breath of fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner. You are a collective of every experience you have had in your life. You are every single second of every single day. So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence. Let the words run through your veins and let the colors fill your mind.”
Contrary to most recent outfit posts I’ve shared I’m a total neutrals girl. I like the color black. Like my soul. Kidding… But I do wear a TON of black (it’s just so easy, and it’s my personal belief that blondes look great in black).
I vividly remember walking around the newly re-designed 29th street mall in Boulder sometime in high school when I saw Anthropologie for the first time. It’s safe to say that my obsession started that same moment, and has been a continuous battle ever since- fueled with frequent shopping trips and my best friends’ mutual obsession. I even worked there for a brief, but shinning moment in college. Sadly for me, but lucky for my wallet, my college was in another town so I had to kiss my 40% discount goodbye.
Two things you should know about me:
1. I LOVE a good high-waisted pair of pants.
2. I’m self conscious about wearing crop tops.
Funny right?! I feel like the two go together like peanut butter and jelly, but like most women, I have this perception that unless you’re Taylor Swift with abs as flat as a book, there needs to be a LOT more top, and a little less crop.
With the weather finally warming up, it’s time to break out one of my favorite summer staples: the quintessential white dress. I love how breezy and effortless white dresses are, and they look especial good on sun-kissed skin. So I’ve rounded up my top 5 picks, all under $100 to help you get in effortless summer style.
