Yesterday was the first official day of fall, and I’m over here still wanting to wear shorts… In my defense, Colorado has the most bi-polar weather ever right1? One day is 90 and the next day there’s snow on the ground, regardless of what season it actually is.
I have this personal belief that I look silly in Baseball Hats. I don’t know if it’s that I have a small head or what, but I just think I look like a little kid in their dad’s hat. But as soon as I tried this little leather cap on I was hooked. I like that it feels a little “fancier” than your normal sports team hat, but casual enough to toss and and bop around your weekend in style. Not to mention, I’m always down for something that helps alleviate a bad hair day…
This look has become one of my go-to weekend errand looks. It’s relaxed while still being put together, and the best part? I don’t have to wash my hair. *Thank God for the invention of cute hats*
What a whirlwind these last few weeks have been. I closed on my first house, my cousin/best friend moved in with me and I feel like I’ve been running around the clock to figure out how this is all going to fit together.
This past Labor Day weekend was filled with so many wonderful people and things and it’s grounding me in who I want to be during this next season of life. I want to be open to new people and experiences. Say yes to more opportunities and embrace daring discomfort in the pursuit of adventures that bring a new spark to my soul and light up my eyes.
There’s something amazing (and sometimes horrifying) about being responsible for your own home, and the people that you allow to come into it. I think part of becoming older and owning who you are is setting the boundaries to be the truest version of yourself. To know when to say “no” and who to say it to. It’s up to me to decide who I want to invite into my new sacred space and create a home that resonates with me down to the very nitty gritty of my soul.
Y’all. I die for this dress.

Ok, not yet. But Thursday September 1st at 4pm I will be the proud new owner of a little Denver bungalow complete with a “postage stamp” of a backyard and a dining room!

A few years ago I had a pretty big fight with a friend where I felt super misunderstood and judged for some personal decisions I had made. When I was talking about it later with a mentor she asked me “why did you go to the hardware store when you were looking for bread?”
Y’all, I don’t know what it is but this tassel-y top brings me so much joy. Its the easiest t-shirt to throw on, but you actually look like you tried a little bit because of the extra flair. I can’t get enough. It’s the perfect summer weekend staple and I love pairing it with some casual denim shorts, or dress it up with some white jeans and cute booties. I also think its going to be one of my favorite fall transition pieces with some dark jeans and riding boots.
