I’ve never felt totally comfortable in body-con dresses. I feel like there’s just too much curve hugging happening all at once, but this striped body con from Rosie Knox was just too comfy to pass up.

Let’s talk about wallpaper. Recently at work, we presented the idea of adding a wallpaper to the powder bath and the client silently stared dumbfounded. “Wallpaper?! Like the pastel flowers in my grandma’s bathroom?”
Um, NO.
I think there is this horrible perception that wallpaper is the same as it was 20 years ago, and looks better left in old wallpaper books than on your walls. But we’re no longer in the dark ages and some of the new products are so f***king cool.
I’ve been really into the lace-up details recently, and this shirt from Rosie Knox was the perfect new addition to my closet. It’s seriously so freaking comfortable and easy to throw on with a simple pair of jeans. I wanted to spice it up a little with some white jeans and cute ankle boots, but it would also be great with some shorts and wedges for a summer date night.
Let me just say that Barbie Pink is not my go-to color.
I’m more of a neutrals girl. Seriously every time I go shopping somehow I end up with another white blouse and pair of black jeans.
But this top is too fun not to share. I love the key-hole detail in the back to add a little unexpected skin. Paired with some crisp white pants and lace-up sandals and I felt ready for a mojito and sunshine.
GET. AT. ME. SUMMER!
I LOVE organizing. I love sorting through closets and tossing out things I haven’t worn in a while. For me it’s super cathartic and leaves me feeling light and renewed. I’m also super cut throat and borderline aggressive when it comes to closet cleaning.
I love spring. I love that everything starts to feel light and fresh this time of year. I love that special time of day just before the sun sets that feels extra quiet and has a sense of serene stillness. I love the floral colors, sweet scents and sounds of birds coming home after a long winter.
I made a mistake about 4 months ago and got bangs. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the idea of bangs. I love how tousled and sexy they can be, but still totally put together- think Olivia Wild, not so much Zoey Deschanel.
Once again, Mother’s day has totally snuck up on me.
My mom is a low-key kinda gal and we usually just spend the day by going to church and brunch afterwards. But even if she doesn’t need a swanky party complete with a mini tiara and pony, it’s still nice to appreciate the lady who has helped shape me into the woman I am today. So in honor of May 8th I’ve complied a list of 10 gifts for your mom to make her feel extra warm and fuzzy.
Happy Mother’s Day!
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to play dress up for a few hours with my friend for Pure Hearts Boutique. Started by four sisters, Pure Hearts picks a new non-profit to highlight and support each month by donating 10% of it’s monthly sales to that organization.
Not only was it so much fun to parade around in all of their new spring items, but when I mentioned a personal connection with Foundation for Fighting Blindness (FFB), Pure Heats agreed to sponsor them for the month of May.
Last week in Chicago was the international Coverings 2016 show.
What is Coverings? It’s a tile expo. No joke.
It’s basically the spring fashion week of interior design-but just tile. And now that I’m basically a full fledge adult, I got to go with my boss as my first official business trip, and it was awesome. I literally never thought I would be so pumped about tile, but I absolutely loved it. I loved seeing what people could dream up for fresh new ways to use and design tile.
