Spring Break Getaway

Let’s talk about one thing that’s totally BS about being an adult.

Vacation time.

Sure I get it, in the working world there’s stuff that has to get done. Like all the time.

But I miss the blissful days when I got a full week for Thanksgiving, a month off for Christmas and another week for Spring Break. Those were the Glory days.

Not anymore. In the real world you get about two weeks. Total. For the whole year. Let’s just say sometimes I feel like some sort of addict that was made to quit cold turkey.

So this weekend I’m boycotting. I’m headed for a long weekend of Bliss in the sunshine for a little R&R. It might not be a full week, but I’m hoping for a little break from my day-to-day life, and the bi-polar weather that is a Colorado spring. (Seriously, the spring snow storms March-May have GOT to stop.)

Day 1

Shopping and Happy Hour in Scottsdale, AZ

We plan to go shopping in Scottsdale, so this outfit with the layers is perfect from wondering in and out of air conditioned stores. I’m also a sucker for comfortable shoes so flats are my go-to for being able to quickly slip them on and off in dressing rooms, while still being comfortable.

Day 2

Pool time and Lunch

I recently got these lace-up gladiator sandals and I can’t get enough of them. I love the easy zip up the back, but the fun detail of the full shin lace-up. Paring these with an easy button front and jean shorts is easy to transition from pool time to lunch.

Day 3

We have the morning to grab a quick brunch before traveling back home, so I wanted something that can go straight from brunch to the airport with being cute and comfortable for travel. I like dressing in layers when I travel, especially going from Arizona’s hot desert climate back to Colorado spring weather.
